Video: Fi2W Brings Together Culinary Leaders to Discuss Women, Food and Culture

The role of women in maintaining culture through food was the theme of a panel discussion at The New School on August 26.

Organized by Feet in 2 Worlds, the event began with foods from Haiti, Bangladesh, Mexico, Lebanon, and Malaysia being served. After guests filled their plates they sat down to hear a discussion between Chinese cooking authority and cookbook author Grace Young,  chef Barbara Sibley, owner of La Palapa Mexican restaurant in Manhattan’s East Village, Jessica Chakraborty of The League of Kitchens, and chef and cookbook writer Nadege Fleurimond.  The panel was hosted by former Fi2W editor Von Diaz.
