Earlier this week, we reported on Florida’s new access to a massive Department of Homeland Security database listing noncitizen residents of the United States. Now, Texas wants the same thing, according to the Houston Chronicle. Fi2W columnist Erwin de Leon gives his take on the story here.

The story of undocumented immigrants struggling to receive basic services is an old one, but the Associated Press inverts the story by going to Mexico and finding U.S. citizen children of former immigrants, who don’t receive services from the Mexican government.  Read it here.
