Feet in 2 World’s skill-building workshops are open to journalists and media makers interested in producing stories for radio, podcast, and online news sites. Our professional training workshops feature instructors and presenters from established news organizations who work with attendees of various skill levels on audio field recording and production, pitching, and story development. In addition to skill-building, workshops offer significant opportunities to network with industry leaders and fellow workshop attendees.

Past workshops have focused on immigrant food stories, climate change, arts and culture, bilingual journalists, and multimedia storytelling.

What We Gained and What We Lost in Covid

A Better Life? presents four stories from a workshop that Feet in 2 Worlds hosted earlier this year for bilingual journalists. The stories focus on a casino worker in New Hampshire, a chef in Mexico, a radio host in Kansas, and high school students in Arizona.

These four audio vignettes were produced in a mixture of English and Spanish, a reflection of how the two languages live side-by-side in communities—and many households—across the U.S.
