Ahmed Ashour is a Bahraini-Egyptian audio journalist and artist based in Brooklyn, NY. His work focuses on using sound to explore cultural assimilation and trouble dominant narratives of race, gender, and identity, especially concerning Arab and Muslim life. Select work has been featured in Kerning Cultures, UnionDocs, Sowt, Al Riwaq Arts Space, and the New York Climate Exchange. For his work, Ahmed was named one of 50 Young Arab Media Leaders in 2024. He recently completed his M.A. in Journalism (Podcasting and Audio Reportage) at New York University/the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.
