Her stories have been published by The Guardian, TIME Magazine, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, NBC News, Public Radio International, and Al Jazeera English, among other outlets. She was previously based in Pakistan, where she was a Pulitzer Center grantee investigating China's trillion-dollar Belt and Road Initiative and Pakistanis on death row in Saudi Arabia. In the past, she also worked in the offices of Mother Jones in San Francisco, TIME Magazine in Hong Kong, The Dhaka Tribune in Bangladesh, The Kathmandu Post in Nepal, and the Guardian US.
